Idea: Connected Couches
CC was an experiment that took shape about a year ago but lacked a defined enough call to action for those who were interested. I am “launching” Crash in NYC as a simple and personal test to see where this idea can go.
Let me know if you or a friend would like to come hang out.
Original email regarding leveraging 2nd degree connections to truly share and connect resources. This could work surprisingly well across existing networks that are strong but relatively small. Think YC, VFA fellows, Teach for America, Thiel, Slack groups, etc.
As a group of young, fun and connected individuals, we should never struggle to find a place to stay in another city. Founding and future members are here because they are good people…no need to worry about safety, thankfulness and respect.
Finding a couch, air mattress or room to crash in should be the least of one’s worries when heading to explore a city for a job interview or to hang with friends. Time should be the concern of a serendipitous adventure, not the pillow you rest your head on.
